Must Have Pantry/Fridge Staples

It's nice to have a well-stocked pantry at all times, especially now! Here is a list of all the vegan and gluten-free staples I always try to have on hand! You can also watch me go through my pantry and fridge in this video here!





Spices & Dried Herbs

  • cinnamon

  • cayenne pepper

  • black pepper

  • white pepper

  • salt

  • black salt

  • garlic powder

  • onion powder

  • paprika (I prefer smoked paprika for most things)

  • turmeric

  • ginger

  • oregano

  • parsley

  • dill

  • chili powder

  • cumin

  • dry mustard


Pantry

  • dried or canned beans (pinto/chickpea/navy/black beans)

  • dried lentils

  • canned full fat coconut milk

  • rolled oats

  • sugar

  • dates

  • rice

  • pasta

  • cornmeal

  • corn flour

  • brown rice flour

  • cornstarch

  • tapioca starch

  • xanthan gum

  • nuts/seeds (I use sunflower seeds for just about anything, but cashew, almonds, or chia/flax/hemp/pumpkin seeds are great to have also)

  • peanut butter

  • tahini

  • cocoa powder

  • popcorn kernels

  • nutritional yeast

  • toasted sesame oil

  • cooking oil (coconut/olive/vegetable)

  • vinegar (white/apple cider/red wine)


Freezer

  • bananas

  • berries

  • peaches

  • pineapple

  • broccoli

  • red peppers

  • green peas

  • corn

  • fries


Fridge

  • olives

  • pickles

  • pickled jalapeños

  • butter/margarine

  • salsa

  • lemon juice

  • lime juice

  • ketchup

  • liquid smoke

  • hot sauce

  • tofu/tempeh


This is a very extensive list and doesn't include any fresh produce, but feel free to use this as a guide to help inspire you! I make just about everything from scratch because gluten-free options are usually expensive, hard to come by, and not good, but if you can eat gluten, go for it! Things like bread, bagels, crackers, and frozen waffles are nice to have when possible, otherwise I make them. I often make my own vegan cheese and don't like vegan meat, but those are things you might want to have as well. Hope this list is helpful!
