You can use whatever vegan mozzarella you'd like for this recipe, but the Main Vegan Deli No Buffalo Mozza is hands down the best vegan mozza I've ever had. If you're in southern Ontario, you have to try it!
Ingredients
1 block vegan mozza
Wet Mix
3 tablespoons Eggcitables original mix + 3 tablespoons water
Dry Mix
1 & 1/3 cup white rice flour
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
dash or two of salt
-Slice mozza into sticks and freeze overnight.
-Add wet mix in one bowl and whisk.
-Add dry mix to another bowl and mix it up.
-Heat oil for deep frying to about 350 degrees.
-Dip frozen cheese stick in Eggcitables mix, into the flour mix, back into the Eggcitables mix, and then the flour again.
-Repeat with all cheese sticks.
-Add them to a parchment lined baking tray and stick back in the freezer until the oil is heated.
-Fry them a few at a time for 2-3 minutes.
-Serve with marinara and enjoy!
Notes
You can use a different vegan egg in place of the eggcitables or a chickpea flour and water mix!
I also made these once using chips as the second dry mix. Cut the dry mix recipe in half, and then just crush up a bunch of potato chips for the second dry mix.
